Where do I collect the car?
Split Airport uses the code SPU. Its address is Cesta dr. Franje Tuđmana 1270, 21217 Kaštel Štafilić. The airport-published distances are 20 km to Split and 6 km to Trogir.
Summer congestion can affect the road towards Split. Time between landing and reaching the car is separate from the onward journey.

The selected offer
Each car listing shows its price and driver requirements. The deposit and insurance appear alongside them, and these conditions can differ between cars for the same dates.
Advance & balance
An advance payment of 15–20% is paid when the booking is made. The balance is paid at collection. The balance and the refundable deposit are separate amounts, so the amount left to pay for the hire is only one part of the collection payment.

The booking email includes the rental company’s contact details. Your booking phone number needs to remain reachable the day before collection and throughout the rental.
What documents do I need?
Age & experience
Minimum age and driving experience depend on the individual car and appear in its conditions.
Original driving licence
The driver needs an original, valid national driving licence in Latin script. The licence must remain valid for the entire rental period. Copies and electronic versions are not accepted. An international driving permit is recommended where the national licence is restricted to domestic use.
The main driver’s card
Where a bank card is required, it must be a physical, embossed card in the main driver’s name. Debit cards are accepted only when the selected car’s conditions allow them. A card that works for the advance payment online can therefore be a separate question from the card accepted for the deposit.
A clear start to the hire.
Deposit arrangement
The deposit may be collected or blocked, depending on the car and payment method. Some deposit returns can take 30–45 days.
Fuel level & running costs
The car returns with the same fuel level as at collection. Fuel, parking charges, fines and tolls are the renter’s responsibility.
Collection & return times
Rentals have a 24-hour minimum and are rounded up to whole days. The agreed collection and return times determine the charged period.
The return has its own arrangement.
The return location and time form part of your booking. A different city requires a one-way search; availability and charges depend on the route, dates and rental company.
One-way availability changes through the year. The search for your travel dates shows the available return locations and offers.
The rental company confirms handover hours and any timing-related charge. The agreed return details belong in the rental confirmation.
Beyond the first stretch of coast.
Travel across a national border needs prior agreement. The booking support team can arrange the request with the rental company. The possibility and price depend on the car, the trip and the company providing it.
Ferry travel needs agreement before booking, including when collection and return are both at Split Airport. Permission applies to the specific car and journey.
The car is for paved public roads. Small pets travel in a carrier.
